FAQs


1. Do I need a visa to come to France?

All foreign nationals wishing to enter France must be able to submit statutory documents at the border concerning the reasons for their stay, their means of support and accommodation arrangements.

A visa is generally required, in the absence of a waiver. For general information and for preparing, submitting and tracking your visa application, log on to France-Visas, France’s official visa site.

France-Visas is a single portal with all the information you need to guide you through the process and help you every step of the way (preparing the application, entering details, submitting and tracking the application).

2. What is the official language of the congress?

The congress will be translated in to French on Friday 21st of June 2019 (you need an upper case F for French)

3. Do I need to be registered to submit an abstract?

You do not need to be registered to submit an abstract. Presenters whose abstracts have been accepted will need to register.

4. How can I register a group?

To register a group please choose “group registration”

5. How can I register for the Congress?

6. How do I register my Accompanying Person(s)?

Accompanying Person tickets can be purchased during the registration process.

Please note that children between 5-17 years old need an Accompanying Person ticket to attend the social events. Children under 5 years old can attend for free.

The Accompanying Person ticket includes:

  • Admission to Opening Ceremony & Welcome Reception the 18th June
  • Admission to President’s Reception the 19th June

7. How do I submit an abstract?

You will be able to submit your abstract until 1st December 2018 (NOT 2017). Please go to www.eosabstracts.org

8. How should I proceed to cancellation and request the refund of my registration?

The cancellation of your registration should be requested in writing by emailing eos2019@eventime-group.com. Please find the cancellation terms on the Registration page.

9. If I send an abstract, do I have to attend the Congress?

Yes, presenters will need to attend the Congress. Only the abstracts of registered participants, who are an author or co-author, will be approved and published in the scientific programme.

10. What is the currency used in France?

The Euro (€) is the official currency of France.

11. What methods of payment are accepted?

Payments with credit cards are preferable. However, bank transfers will also be accepted.

12. Where can I find information about accommodation options and rates?

You can find information on the hotels page. We provide a wide range of accommodation options to suit different budgets.

13. Who can register as a Postgraduate Student?

The discounted EOS Postgraduate fee is only applicable to EOS members who joined the Society before the 1st January 2019.

If this is not your case and you would like to register as a Postgraduate student, please select the Full Congress: Non Member fee on the registration form; you will need to provide a letter from the head of your department confirming your student status to enable you to attend the postgraduate course and disco.
